It’s time for the Land of the Rising Sun - a country where every turn is a contrast.
Kyoto · Osaka · Tokyo
It’s time for the Land of the Rising Sun - a country where every turn is a contrast. One day, you’re lost in Tokyo’s neon jungle, the next, you’re tracing calligraphy strokes in Kyoto, feeding bowing deer in Nara, or soaking in the buzz of Osaka’s backstreets. Bullet trains blur past landscapes, street food tells stories, and nights stretch long with fuelled conversations. This is Japan - electric, timeless, and unapologetically alive.
Oh, this country! Can someone tell us what’s going on here? From neon-lit streets to robot cafes to restaurants operated by real-life private detectives, to bullet trains, manga culture and street food. Japan will first blow your mind and then blow your mind again. Designing this experience in Japan was the most fun we’ve had in recent times — and talking to local experts from Japan added to the magic. From futuristic Tokyo to modern Osaka to ancient Kyoto, we designed this adventure as a story of a lifetime, and I cannot wait for you to experience it.
See you in Japan, soon.

DAY 01
Welcome to the electric heart of Japan - Tokyo, where tradition meets the future. Dive into the vibrant vibe of the city with an evening that promises the buzz of friendship and the thrill of discovery. From sizzling Takoyaki to delicate sushi, your taste buds are in for a treat. Amidst the neon-lit streets, forge connections that turn travel companions into lifelong friends. Your best life is about to begin.

DAY 02
The morning takes you to the most awaited photo op of the trip - TeamLab Planets. Walk through dreamlike installations & feel the art. From there, we step into history at Sensō-ji, Tokyo’s oldest temple. Light incense, make a wish, and get your fortune told the traditional way. Then, it’s on to Asakusa for a taste of old Tokyo - street food, tiny shops, and a slice of nostalgia. Later, we head to Ginza - Tokyo’s hub of luxury and legendary dining. But the night truly comes alive underground, where we drink like locals in the hidden bars of a subway station.

DAY 03
We kick off from Tokyo (easy meet-up points like Tokyo Station / Shinjuku) and head out towards Fuji-country—watch the city fade into wide skies and mountain roads. First big hit: Lake Kawaguchiko—Fuji reflections, lakeside air, and that calm-before-the-wow. Then we take a Quick, iconic stop: the Lawson photo spot—Japan’s most accidentally-famous convenience store view, where Mt. Fuji shows up like the main character. Grab a snack, click your best shots, move on. Slow it down at Oshino Hakkai—a charming village with crystal-clear spring ponds fed by Mt. Fuji’s snowmelt. Then we head back to Tokyo by evening, full camera roll, fuller hearts. As evening hits, we’ll meet at the Hachiko statue, cross the legendary Shibuya Crossing, and wrap with a final Kampai dinner. If you still have energy, Shibuya jazz bars are the perfect late-night cherry on top.

DAY 04
Experience the world’s fastest bullet train and race through Japan at 320 km/h! Ease into Kyoto’s rhythm and explore at your own pace. Unwind at a cosy café or wander Nishiki Market, Kyoto’s culinary hub. Learn the ancient art of Japanese calligraphy from true masters, turning ink and brush into a meditative experience. Party at Kyoto’s best club and grab late-night Sojus as you walk through Pontocho’s historic alleys.

DAY 05
Kyoto slows the clock, but today, time truly stands still. As the sun sets, we’ll watch from a 1,200-year-old temple terrace(Kiyomizu-dera 🧧) - a vantage point that has seen history unfold for centuries. This isn’t just a sunset; it’s a portal to the past, a golden moment shared with generations before us. If Japan was calling you to find Zen, this is where you’ll feel it.

DAY 06
From Kyoto’s quiet charm to Osaka’s electric energy, the shift is instant. Welcome to Japan’s street food capital, where the real magic happens off the beaten path. Let your taste buds lead the way through Osaka’s legendary street food scene - sizzling takoyaki, okonomiyaki, and flavours you didn’t even know you needed. Paired with a round (or three) of sake, this is the kind of night that stays with you long after it ends.

DAY 07
Nara feels like stepping into a softer, slower world - where ancient temples meet open parks, and the locals include the city’s playful guardians. Meet Nara’s famous bowing deer - feed them, bow back, and try not to get out-charmed. No visit is complete without indulging in one of Japan’s most beloved treats: freshly hand-pounded mochi. Soft, chewy, and best enjoyed with a cup of coffee - the perfect way to soak in the magic of this storybook day. We're back to Osaka by evening. A final kampai to a week of wild adventures, late-night stories, and friendships forged in the heart of Japan. It's those countless conversations, endless laughter, and the kind of moments that stay with you long after the trip ends.

DAY 08
Wheels up, but the adventure isn’t over - Japan has a way of calling you back. The journey comes full circle as we pack up the memories, the moments, and maybe even a few extra souvenirs.

Every edition is curated to 14–17 people across professions, cities, and stages of life — never 14 from the same industry. Once you confirm, you get an anonymized cohort snapshot covering roles, cities, and why each person is coming. The full WhatsApp group goes live around 30 days before departure. Median age is typically 28–38; gender ratio targets 50:50 within applicant-pool constraints. If a destination skews younger or older, the edition page says so.
Stays, on-ground transfers, curated experiences, breakfast and one other meal a day, and the host being with you for the whole edition. Not included: flights, visa fees, alcohol, and meals on free evenings. The exact inclusions/exclusions split is in the two-column section on each edition page. No surprise add-ons at checkout.
Cancellation outcomes depend on your edition's category and how close you are to departure. In the early window you receive 90% as ExCo Wallet credit (or 80% as a bank transfer if you've paid ₹50,000+); in the late window 50% wallet (or 40% bank). A flat ₹7,000 administration fee applies. ExCo Wallet credit is valid at full value for 12 months and is transferable to a friend or family member once. Wallet credit cannot be converted to cash. Insurance premiums and third-party costs already incurred remain non-refundable.
A 10% deposit at booking locks your spot — this applies across all edition categories (Visa-Heavy, Mid-Adventure, and Easy-Visa / Domestic). The remaining balance is split into scheduled payments based on the category's payment timeline, with the final payment due before the edition's cut-off. The exact schedule is shown above the deposit button on each edition page. You can pay by UPI, bank transfer, debit card, or credit card.
We're not picking the “best” applicants — we're building a room that works. Range across professions, life stages, and intent matters more than credentials. We read every application. The lens is simple: would this person make the group better, and would the group make this person's edition better.
Yes — both of you go through the same curation flow. The group balance matters more than the headcount, so we apply the same lens to your plus-one. Often both get in. Sometimes only one of you is the right fit for that specific edition, in which case we'll recommend a different edition for the other. Spot transfers between friends or family aren't allowed directly — the original booking has to be cancelled first, and any wallet credit can then be used toward a new booking.
Edition dates are fixed — the host, the cohort, and the on-ground vendors are all locked. Edition transfers are not permitted directly. If your plans change, you'll need to cancel your current booking and use any eligible ExCo Wallet credit toward a new booking. The credit is valid at full value for 12 months.
The number on the edition page is the all-in program fee for what's included — stays, on-ground transfers, curated experiences, breakfast and one other meal a day, and the host. Flights, visa fees, alcohol, and meals on free evenings are excluded. GST applies where relevant; checkout shows the final number. Editions priced in USD/EUR/JPY may convert at the prevailing rate when each scheduled payment is processed; once a payment has been processed it isn't retrospectively adjusted.
If you've confirmed for your edition and applied for your visa but are still waiting on results, you can make a partial payment of 30% and settle the balance once the visa is approved. If the visa is rejected, ExCo deducts 20% of the amount paid and the rest is credited to a future edition. If your visa status remains uncertain 31 days before the edition, you can either reschedule to a future edition free of charge, or hold your spot — in which case the 50% advance becomes non-refundable regardless of the outcome.
A prior rejection (US, UK, Schengen, or otherwise) doesn't automatically disqualify you, but it does mean we'll spend more time on documentation. Flag it during the application — our visa team has a separate intake for travellers with prior rejections so you get an honest read on your odds before you commit financially. Note: passports must remain valid for at least six months beyond the end of the edition.
About 70% of every edition comes solo. By the second dinner, no one remembers who arrived knowing whom. The whole format — shared villa, shared transport, anchor experiences — is built so groups form fast and naturally.
